how to find my IP
- Open a web browser and go to any search engine like Google.
- In the search bar, type "What's my IP" and hit Enter.
- The search results will display your public IP address, which is the address used to identify your device on the internet.
- Click on the Start button and type "cmd" in the search box.
- Click on the Command Prompt program to open it.
- In the Command Prompt window, type "ipconfig" and hit Enter.
- Your IP address will be displayed next to "IPv4 Address" under the heading for the network adapter currently in use.
Please note that if you are behind a router, your IP address will be the local IP address assigned to your device by the router, and not the public IP address.
