What is IP Address
An IP address (Internet Protocol address) is a unique numerical identifier assigned to every device connected to the internet. It is a series of numbers separated by periods, such as 192.168.0.1. IP addresses enable devices to communicate with each other on the internet, similar to how a postal address enables mail to be delivered to a specific location. There are two types of IP addresses: IPv4 and IPv6. IPv4 addresses are 32-bit numbers and are most commonly used, while IPv6 addresses are 128-bit numbers and are becoming increasingly common as more devices are connected to the internet.
